Write down what each insurance requires once, in Settings under Payors and Rates, using plain IF and THEN rules.
Add each payer you are credentialed with, then write the rule: if a claim for this payer matches your conditions, apply the place of service and modifier that payer expects. From then on, those fields arrive already filled as each new billing item is created, with an on-screen note naming the rule that did it.
Rules belong to the payer, so they work for everyone on the team, and anything already billed stays exactly as you left it.
Three dashboards come built in, switched by tab: CRM for inquiries, converted patients, and conversion rate; Sessions for signed and unsigned notes by clinician; and Appointments for totals, active clinicians, and the in-person versus virtual mix.
Filter any of them by day, week, month, or a custom range. For anything else, click New Insight and describe the view you want in plain English; Emma builds the charts and metric cards from your clinic’s own data, no SQL needed.
Four ready-made templates handle front desk tasks automatically: appointment reminder texts one day out, portal invitations the moment a patient books, daily questionnaire reminders until the form is submitted, and a treatment plan review nudge after 90 days.
Every automation follows the same three steps: a trigger, stackable conditions like treatment type or appointment modality, and one action, either an SMS, an email, or a portal message. Reminders move with rescheduled appointments, cancel with canceled ones, and every run is logged in a History tab.
Prescribe directly from the patient’s chart in mdhub, with no second system to log into. EPCS is supported, so controlled substances like stimulants and benzodiazepines go out the same way as routine prescriptions.
Medications and allergies sync both ways, so prescribing and documentation stay aligned. Setup runs with the mdhub team: mdhub registers the practice, each prescriber verifies their own identity, and controlled substances are activated per prescriber.
Check a patient’s insurance coverage from their chart, under Insurance & Billing.
Add the plan and member ID once, picking the payer from a directory of thousands so the payer ID fills itself in, then press check. mdhub asks the payer directly and answers in seconds: whether the plan is active right now, the copay the payer reports for the visit, and the plan and group details on file. Every check is dated, so you always know when it was run.
